To maintain the nice vibrant finish of gold plated or rose gold plated jewelry, extra care needs to be taken. Please remove plated jewelry when showering, washing your face, exercising and swimming. Lotions, soaps, makeup, chlorine, etc will cause a reaction in the metal and it will tarnish. When wearing plated nose jewelry, keep make up and lotions clear of the jewelry. Wipe it after each use with a soft cloth to remove any dirt and debris that may have collected during the time it was worn.

I got this for my rook on my right ear. I thought closing the opening would be easier but it’s very difficult to pinch together once it’s in your ear. It could be easier on your left because the opening would be on the outside. After having it in my ear for a few weeks, my ear was very tender and bright red. It was starting to get infected. If you have sensitive skin, I’m not sure this metal would be good for you. The design is cute but I won’t be able to wear it again.
